Giuseppina Foglia

Giuseppina Foglia, born in 1958, is notable for being one of the first Siamese twins to undergo a successful separation surgery in Europe at the age of seven. The operation, performed in May 1965 at the Regina Margherita Hospital in Turin, was groundbreaking for its time and marked a significant milestone in medical history. Giuseppina has since lived a life filled with both challenges and achievements, including a career in banking and the experience of navigating life after the loss of her twin sister, Santina, three years ago.
