Givi Akhvlediani
Givi Akhvlediani is a former Georgian volleyball player and coach, renowned for his contributions to the sport during the 20th century. He made history as the coach of the Soviet Union women's national team, leading them to victory in the 1970 World Championship, in addition to his earlier success as a player in the 1952 World Championship. Akhvlediani's accomplishments have made him a respected figure in volleyball, particularly for being one of the few individuals to win World Championships with both men's and women's teams.
