Godofredo González

Godofredo González was a prominent Venezuelan politician and a key figure in the political landscape during the transitional period from dictatorship to democracy in the late 1950s. A member of the Christian Democratic party COPEI, he played a significant role in the political opposition against the authoritarian regime of Marcos Pérez Jiménez. His involvement in the Junta Patriótica and subsequent efforts to establish a democratic government were crucial for Venezuela's return to civilian rule.
