Golam Ambia Khan Luhani
Golam Ambia Khan Luhani was a revolutionary figure born on December 2, 1892, in Sirajganj, Bangladesh. He studied at Aligarh University and later enrolled at the London School of Economics, where he became influenced by the Soviet revolution. Luhani worked tirelessly for India's independence, engaging in political activities across Paris, Berlin, Geneva, and Moscow. Unfortunately, during Stalin's regime, he was wrongfully convicted and executed in Moscow on September 17, 1938. His legacy remained obscured until 1957 when the Supreme Military Court of Russia posthumously overturned his conviction, recognizing his unjust treatment. His life and struggles have been the subject of extensive research, culminating in the recent publication of a biography by journalist Matiur Rahman, revealing the dramatic and often perilous journey of this forgotten revolutionary.
