He reached a career-high ranking of No. 77 in doubles in 2020 and No. 200 in singles in 2017. Recently, he was in the news due to a four-year ban imposed by the International Tennis Integrity Agency (ITIA) after testing positive for methamphetamine, following his claim that the substance entered his system through a kiss.
