Gopichand P Hinduja, commonly known as 'GP', was the Chairman of the Hinduja Group, a multinational conglomerate with diverse interests. He played a significant role in transforming the family business, originally focused on Indo-Middle East trading, into a multi-billion dollar enterprise with global reach. Notable for acquiring Gulf Oil and Ashok Leyland, he was instrumental in the company's expansion into energy and infrastructure. Gopichand was also recognized as one of Britain's wealthiest individuals, continuing the legacy of the Hinduja family, and he passed away in London at the age of 85.
