Gordon Matthew Thomas Sumner

Better known by his stage name Sting, Gordon Matthew Thomas Sumner is an iconic English musician, singer, songwriter, and actor. Born in Newcastle in 1951, Sting first rose to fame as the lead vocalist and bassist of The Police, a rock band that achieved immense success in the late 1970s and early 1980s. Following the band's disbandment, he embarked on a successful solo career, blending elements of rock, jazz, and reggae. Over his career, Sting has sold over 100 million albums and won numerous awards, including 17 Grammy Awards.
