Gozbert was a duke in the Kingdom of the Franks who became an early convert to Christianity through the missionary efforts of St Kilian. His life took a tragic turn when he was caught in a conflict between his faith and his marriage to Geilana, which ultimately led to St Kilian's martyrdom.
