Grady Demond Wilson

Grady Demond Wilson, known professionally as Demond Wilson, was an American actor best recognized for his role as Lamont Sanford on the classic sitcom 'Sanford and Son,' which aired from 1972 to 1977. Born and raised in Harlem, New York, he served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War before pursuing a career in acting. Wilson was also known for his roles in 'Baby… I’m Back!' and 'The New Odd Couple.' His career spanned several decades, and his last appearance was in the 2023 series 'Eleanor’s Bench.' He passed away at the age of 79 due to complications from cancer, as confirmed by his son.
