Graeme Lister

Graeme Lister was a dedicated educator who spent 33 years teaching at Tamatea High School, where he was known for his creativity and passion for art. Born prematurely and always the smallest in his family, Lister led a vibrant life, pursuing his love for art before returning to teaching. His unique approach to education left a lasting impact on his students, as he made an effort to connect with every individual, greeting them personally and encouraging their creativity. Despite facing health challenges after a massive stroke in 2015, Lister continued to be remembered fondly for his contributions to the school community and the artistic spirit he fostered among students.
