Gudrun Blohberger

Gudrun Blohberger is the head of the educational department at the Mauthausen Memorial in Austria since 2015. She is actively involved in Holocaust education and remembrance, addressing the challenges of preserving historical memory in the absence of living witnesses. During a recent workshop in Luxembourg, she highlighted the need for responsible educational practices, particularly in light of the rise of AI-generated images related to the Holocaust, which she argues can distort understanding and empathy.
