Guillermo Arroyo Muñoz

Guillermo Arroyo Muñoz is a prominent figure in the field of criminology and public safety in Costa Rica. With a rich background that includes serving as the former Vice Minister of Justice and Director of the Penitentiary System, he has over 20 years of experience in security matters. Arroyo holds a master's degree in Criminology with a focus on Human Security and has been actively involved in international consulting on penitentiary reforms. He has also contributed to academia by teaching Criminology and History at various universities, in addition to writing extensively on criminal policy. Recently, he was in the news as Ariel Robles, a presidential candidate, announced his intention to appoint Arroyo as the Minister of Security in a potential future government.
