Guillermo Paz

Guillermo "Pipe" Paz, 67, is an engineer in agricultural production and the president of the Argentine Association of Merino Breeders. He comes from a long lineage of wool producers in Argentina, with roots dating back to his great-grandparents who emigrated from Galicia. A former member of the national rugby team, Los Pumas, from 1978 to 1983, Paz is known for his unique role as a defender of sheep amidst the challenges facing the wool industry, including a dramatic decline in sheep stock over the past two decades.
