Gustaf Kossinna was a German archaeologist and linguist in the late 19th and early 20th centuries, known for his theories regarding the origins of the Indo-Europeans. His assertion that the 'Urheimat' of the Aryans was located in Northern Germany and Southern Scandinavia had a considerable influence on the development of nationalist ideologies in Germany.
