Gustaf Wickman

Gustaf Wickman (1855–1926) was a Swedish architect known for designing the distinctive Kiruna Church, completed in 1912. His architectural style combined various influences to create a space that resonated with the diverse cultural backgrounds of the local community, including Sami, Kven, and Tornedalians. Wickman's work on the church has been recognized as a significant contribution to Sweden's architectural heritage, with the church later being celebrated as one of the country’s most beautiful public buildings.
