Gustavo Aponte

Gustavo Aponte was a prominent Colombian businessman known for his contributions to the rice sector. Tragically, he was recently in the news following his assassination outside a gym in Bogotá, where he was shot alongside his bodyguard, Luis Gabriel Gutiérrez. Prior to his death, Aponte had confided in his friend Felipe Arias about receiving threatening calls from illegal armed groups, which he seemed to downplay despite expressing some concern.
