Həzi Aslanov
Həzi Aslanov was a prominent Azerbaijani military leader during World War II, known for his bravery and leadership as a Major General of tank troops in the Soviet Army. He was posthumously awarded the title of Hero of the Soviet Union for his exceptional valor in battle. Aslanov's legacy is honored in Azerbaijan, where he is remembered as a national hero who fought against fascism and contributed significantly to the Soviet war efforts. His grave was visited by Azerbaijani President Ilham Əliyev and First Lady Mehriban Əliyeva on May 9, as part of commemorations for the 80th anniversary of the victory over fascism.
