Habibullah Khatti

Habibullah Khatti is a 54-year-old resident of Abdullah Mirbahar village in the Indus delta, where he has witnessed the devastating effects of seawater intrusion on his community. Once a fisherman, he turned to tailoring as fish stocks dwindled, but ultimately faced the necessity of abandoning his village due to rising salinity and the loss of agricultural viability. His story reflects the struggles of many displaced families as they seek refuge in urban areas like Karachi.
