Habibur Masum

Habibur Masum, a 27-year-old man from Bangladesh, gained notoriety after committing a shocking act of violence against his ex-wife, Kulsuma Akhtar. He was dubbed the 'smiling killer' after surveillance footage captured him smiling as he left the scene of the crime in Bradford, UK, where he fatally stabbed Akhtar 26 times. His actions followed a history of harassment and threats, which included stalking and using deceitful tactics to lure her out of a women's shelter. Masum was later sentenced to life in prison for his brutal crime.
