Hafeez Butters

Hafeez Butters, a 29-year-old boatbuilder from Jacklow in Upper Pomeroon River, Essequibo Coast, was recently in the news after being charged and sentenced for possession of nearly a kilogram of cannabis intended for trafficking. He was apprehended on March 24, 2025, and subsequently pleaded guilty in Suddie Magistrate’s Court, receiving a two-year prison sentence alongside a significant monetary fine.
