Haidar Ali

Haidar Ali was an 18th-century ruler of the Kingdom of Mysore in southern India, known for his military prowess and resistance against British colonial expansion. He sought support from France in his fight against the British but ultimately faced defeat, setting the stage for his son, Tipu Sultan, to continue the struggle.
