Haimanot Gebremariam

Haimanot Gebremariam is a vegetable vendor in Mekelle, Ethiopia, whose family was deeply affected by the Tigray war, with one child returning safely and another sustaining permanent injuries. She voices the concerns of many locals who are still living with the trauma of the previous conflict and hope to avoid a return to violence.
