Haizyn Mellars is a promising rugby league winger who has recently signed a three-year deal with the New Zealand Warriors. Born in Auckland, he is the son of former Warriors player Vince Mellars and has a strong sporting pedigree, with his mother Charmian being a member of the Tall Ferns at the 2008 Beijing Olympics. At 21 years old and standing 1.93 meters tall, Mellars has shown great potential in the sport, having scored seven tries in nine appearances for the South Sydney Rabbitohs' reserves team, despite struggling with hamstring injuries that have delayed his NRL debut.
