Haj Qassem Soleimani

Haj Qassem Soleimani was an Iranian major general in the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC), known for his role in orchestrating Iran's military strategy in the Middle East. As the commander of the Quds Force, Soleimani was instrumental in supporting allied groups such as Hezbollah in Lebanon and various factions in Iraq and Syria. His influence extended across the region, making him a key figure in Iran's foreign policy until his assassination by a U.S. drone strike in January 2020. Soleimani is often regarded as a martyr by his supporters, who view him as a defender of Shia interests.
