Hajer Bouzid

Hajer Bouzid is a prominent Tunisian singer and activist, known for her deep admiration for Lebanese music legend Faïrouz. In 2019, she founded the female singing group Jârat el-Kamar, which has gained recognition for its performances that celebrate Faïrouz's timeless songs while promoting values of solidarity and community. Bouzid leads an ensemble of 9 musicians and 28 female choristers, affectionately called Kmaïrât, and has been instrumental in organizing cultural events that merge music and visual arts, aiming to spread messages of hope and artistic expression.
