Hakan Şimşek

Hakan Şimşek, born in 1971 in Manisa, is a prominent Turkish politician affiliated with the CHP (Republican People's Party). He graduated from the Faculty of Economics at Manisa Celal Bayar University and has over 30 years of experience as a certified public accountant. In 2024, he was elected as a member of the Şehzadeler Municipality Council and later served as the Deputy Mayor. Following the passing of the former mayor, Gülşah Durbay, Şimşek was elected as the new Mayor of Şehzadeler amidst a competitive election process.
