Halise Karapınarlı

Halise Karapınarlı is an attorney associated with the Konya Bar Association, who recently found herself at the center of a scandal involving drug trafficking. Last December, she was accused of smuggling narcotics, including marijuana and heroin, into the Konya E Type Closed Penal Institution for her client, M.T., who was incarcerated for theft. Following the discovery of drugs on her client during their meeting, law enforcement conducted a search of her residence, uncovering additional narcotics. Karapınarlı was subsequently arrested and faced serious charges, including drug trafficking and smuggling prohibited items into a correctional facility, with prosecutors seeking a lengthy prison sentence of 46 years and 4 months. Despite the evidence presented against her, Karapınarlı claimed that the drugs found at her home did not belong to her.
