Halldór Oddsson

Halldór Oddsson has been appointed as an assistant to the government, taking over from Anna Rut Kristjánsdóttir, who is on temporary leave. He holds a master's degree in law from the University of Iceland, completed in 2009, and has worked for the Icelandic Confederation of Labor (ASÍ) for 13 years, most recently as the director of legal and labor market affairs since 2023. Halldór has also taught labor law at the university level. His primary responsibilities in his new role involve general coordination regarding the government's legislative matters.
