Hamadou Sawadogo
Hamadou Sawadogo, a sergeant chief born in 1957 in Gourcy, was a sports instructor and a loyal associate of President Thomas Sankara. He was tragically killed on October 15, 1987, during a coup that claimed the life of Sankara.
