Hamed dit Patindeba Patric Lega

Dr. Hamed dit Patindeba Patric Lega is the Director General of the Bureau burkinabè des droits d’auteur (BBDA), an organization responsible for managing copyright and author rights in Burkina Faso. He has been active in promoting transparency and efficiency in the distribution of royalties to artists, reflecting his commitment to the cultural sector. Under his leadership, the BBDA has made strides in reducing complaints from members regarding payment issues, with a goal of achieving zero complaints. He emphasizes the importance of fair remuneration for creators and encourages artists to register their works with the BBDA to ensure they receive their rightful earnings. Recently, he led a press conference to announce payments totaling over 409 million FCFA to more than 8,000 artists for their rights in May 2025.
