Dr. Hamid Choi Yong Kil is a South Korean professor of Islamic Studies and Arabic language, notably recognized as the first person to translate the meanings of the Quran into Korean. He converted to Islam in 1970 and has been instrumental in promoting Islamic culture and education in South Korea, having translated numerous Islamic texts and played a significant role in the establishment of Islamic institutions in the country.
