
Hamid Dizdar
Hamid Dizdar was a prominent Bosnian-Herzegovinian writer born in 1907 in Stolac, known for his contributions to literature as an editor and poet. He was the elder brother of the more renowned Mehmedalija Maka Dizdar and worked as an editor for various Sarajevo publications, including 'Slobodna riječ' and 'Pravda'. After World War II, he served as the director of the Archive of the City of Sarajevo. His literary works encompass poetry and numerous publications on folklore and social themes, including 'Narodne pripovijetke iz BiH' and 'Muslimani i kršćani pod turskom vlašću u BiH'. He passed away in Sarajevo in 1967.
