Hamzah Sulaiman

Hamzah Sulaiman, affectionately known as 'Raminten,' was a renowned entrepreneur, artist, and cultural preservationist from Yogyakarta, Indonesia. He passed away at the age of 75 on April 23, 2025. Hamzah was celebrated for his contributions to the local culinary and cultural scene, owning popular establishments such as The House of Raminten restaurant and Hamzah Batik. He was also an active performer in traditional Javanese theater, playing the character Raminten in various formats, including a local sitcom. Hamzah's legacy as a cultural icon and his dedication to preserving Yogyakarta's rich traditions will be fondly remembered.
