
Hans Grade
Hans Grade was a pioneering German aviator born on May 17, 1879, in Koszalin, Pomerania. He is best known for successfully conducting the first flight with a heavier-than-air aircraft in Germany on August 17, 1909, with his monoplanes, notably the Grade monoplane. Grade's contributions to aviation included establishing Germany's first aviation school in 1910 and facilitating the first airmail delivery in the country. He played a significant role in the early development of aviation in Germany until his death on October 22, 1946.
