Hans-Martin Schleyer was a German businessman and president of the Confederation of German Employers' Associations who was kidnapped by the Red Army Faction (RAF) in 1977. His abduction was part of a desperate attempt by the RAF to negotiate the release of imprisoned members, ultimately leading to his tragic murder and highlighting the extreme measures taken by the group during their campaign of terror.
