Harjit Sajjan
Harjit Sajjan is a Canadian politician and member of the Liberal Party, who has served as the Member of Parliament for Vancouver South since 2015. He held the position of Minister of National Defence from 2015 to 2021, where he was recognized for his work in veterans' affairs and his focus on modernizing the Canadian Armed Forces. Sajjan, a former soldier and police officer, was born in India and immigrated to Canada as a child. He is known for his commitment to diversity and inclusion within the military, as well as his advocacy for the rights of veterans.
