Harmanpreet Singh, born on January 6, 1996, in Timmowal, Punjab, is the captain of the Indian men's hockey team. In 2024, he led the team to a bronze medal at the Paris Olympics, where he was also the tournament's top scorer. His exceptional performance continued as he captained India to victory at the Asian Champions Trophy, earning him the FIH Best Player of the Year award and the prestigious Rajiv Gandhi Khel Ratna Award for his contributions to Indian hockey.
