Harold Biervliet

Harold Biervliet was a celebrated Surinamese guitarist and musician, revered for his unique guitar playing and ability to blend various musical genres. Born in Suriname, he became a prominent figure in the Surinamese music scene, co-founding the successful band Trafassi in 1981. With a career that spanned decades, Biervliet contributed to numerous hits as a guitarist, vocalist, songwriter, and arranger, earning him accolades such as the Lifetime Achievement Award and recognition as an Officier in the Ereorde of de Gele Ster. He passed away at the age of 84 after a long illness, leaving behind a rich legacy of music and inspiration for future generations.
