Hasmet Yazici

Hasmet Yazici is a Turkish professor and activist who was part of the Global Sumud Flotilla, a humanitarian initiative aimed at delivering aid to Gaza. Following the Israeli assault on their vessels in international waters, Yazici publicly denounced the mistreatment and torture he and his fellow activists endured while detained in Israel, reporting that they were treated as terrorists and subjected to prolonged periods of restraint and psychological violence.
