Hassan Kargbo

Hassan Kargbo is a 35-year-old fisherman from Nyangai, an island in Sierra Leone's Turtle Islands, who has lost nearly everything to rising sea levels caused by climate change. As one of the island's inhabitants facing displacement, he expresses his despair over the ocean's encroachment on his home and livelihood, having endured multiple relocations and the persistent stress of rebuilding his home.
