Hawa Ghasia is the chairperson of the Tanzania Salt Producers Association (TASPA), where she plays a vital role in advocating for the interests of salt producers in Tanzania. Recently, she was in the news for expressing gratitude to the Tanzanian government for its decision to introduce special salt production licenses, which are aimed at reducing production costs and enhancing the competitiveness of locally produced salt.
