Hazel Michell Cortés

Hazel Michell Cortés is a young woman from San Pedro Sula, Honduras, who was forced to flee her home country due to the life-threatening violence she experienced at the hands of her ex-partner, Fabricio Jared Matute Cabrera. After surviving a brutal attack in July 2023, where she and her friend were severely injured, she has been living in Europe for over a year, supported by her family, as Matute remains at large and is one of Honduras' most wanted fugitives.
