Héctor G. Oesterheld was an influential Argentine writer and comic book creator, best known for his groundbreaking science fiction graphic novel 'El Eternauta,' first published in 1957. Oesterheld's work often reflected his political beliefs and social commentary, making him a significant figure in Argentine literature. His life and career were tragically cut short during Argentina's Dirty War when he was disappeared by the military dictatorship in the 1970s.
