Hector Llaitul

Hector Llaitul is the founder of the militant Mapuche organization Coordinadora Arauco-Malleco (CAM), known for advocating the recovery of ancestral lands and establishing an independent Mapuche state. He is currently serving a 23-year prison sentence for various charges, which he and his supporters claim are part of a broader strategy to suppress Mapuche resistance.
