Hector Santana

Hector Santana is the head of the Unit of Insurance, Pensions, and Social Security at the Ministry of Finance in Mexico. He has been actively involved in discussions regarding new regulations aimed at preventing money laundering in the country’s retirement fund administrators (Afores). Recently, he highlighted the necessity of updating these rules, which have been under discussion for nearly a year, to strengthen the financial system and ensure that workers can effectively save for their future.
