Helga Arnardóttir
Helga Arnardóttir is an Icelandic psychologist and the creator of HappApp, a mental health application designed to enhance and maintain mental well-being. First introduced in 2016 as part of her graduation project in positive psychology, the app has recently undergone a revival, supported by the Icelandic Directorate of Health and the Mentor project, which aims to expand its reach across several European countries. Helga is currently collaborating with health experts from seven nations to translate and improve the app, making it accessible to users in Spain, Italy, Ukraine, Cyprus, Hungary, Romania, and Norway. With a focus on exercises that cultivate gratitude and resilience, Helga believes that the app's universal approach will resonate across diverse cultures. As of now, HappApp has over 1,200 users in its new version, and Helga is optimistic about its future impact on mental health across Europe.
