Helo Al-Askari

Helo Al-Askari is the Iraqi Minister of Environment, known for his active role in addressing environmental challenges facing Iraq. He has been vocal about the impacts of climate change, pollution, and water scarcity on public health and ecosystems. Recently, he conducted a field visit along the banks of the Tigris River in Baghdad to document environmental damage caused by direct sewage discharge and industrial waste, as part of a government initiative aimed at protecting the country's rivers.
