Henk Rogers

Henk Rogers is a pioneering game designer and entrepreneur best known for his role in bringing the iconic video game Tetris to international audiences. After discovering the game at the 1988 Consumer Electronics Show, he successfully navigated a complex web of legal and geopolitical challenges to secure distribution rights from the Soviet Union, famously encountering the KGB in the process. Beyond Tetris, Rogers founded Bullet-Proof Software and created the influential RPG The Black Onyx, which introduced key elements to the genre. As of recent years, he has shifted his focus to environmental advocacy through the Blue Planet Foundation, promoting clean energy initiatives in Hawaii.
