Henno Eggenkamp

Henno Eggenkamp is a pioneering resident of the Bijlmermeer district in Amsterdam, having moved there in 1969. As the founder of the Bijlmer Museum, he has dedicated his life to documenting and sharing the history and evolution of the area, which has transformed from a symbol of hope into a diverse community facing challenges like crime and poverty. Eggenkamp is particularly noted for his involvement in creating a memorial for the victims of the tragic airplane crash in 1992, which brought national attention to the Bijlmer.
