Henri Mayot

Born on January 21, 1928, in Algiers, Henri Mayot was a French officer who played a significant role in the Algerian War of Independence. He became involved with the Algerian Communist Party and was instrumental in transporting weapons to the FLN (National Liberation Front) to support the armed revolution against French colonial rule. His commitment to the cause led him to join a group of freedom fighters, where he ultimately sacrificed his life in combat against French forces.
